For most small and mid-sized businesses, design has always been a bottleneck. You have an idea for a proposal, a landing page, a pitch deck, or a product mockup, and then you wait. You wait for a designer to have availability, for a round of revisions, for the final file to come back in the right format. If you do not have an in-house designer, you wait even longer.
Anthropic changed that this week.
What Claude Design Actually Does
Claude Design, launched on April 17 as part of Anthropic Labs, is a product that lets anyone on your team create polished visual work through conversation. You describe what you need, Claude builds a first version, and you refine it through comments, direct edits, or natural language instructions. The output can be exported as a PDF, a PowerPoint file, a standalone HTML page, or sent directly to Canva for further editing.
What makes Claude Design different from every other AI design tool is the brand system. During onboarding, Claude reads your existing codebase and design files and builds a design system for your team: your colors, your typography, your components. Every project after that uses that system automatically. You do not have to describe your brand every time. The output looks like your company made it, because it did.
What This Means for Florida Businesses
The practical implications for a construction firm, an insurance agency, or an architecture practice are significant. Consider what your team currently produces manually: client proposals, project presentations, marketing one-pagers, RFP responses, training materials, and internal reports. Every one of those documents could now be produced in a fraction of the time, at a consistent quality level, by anyone on your team.
Claude Design is currently available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. Enterprise organizations have it disabled by default, which means an admin needs to turn it on before anyone can use it.
The Gap Between Tool and Result
That last detail matters. The tool is live, but most enterprise teams will not use it this week because no one has enabled it, no one has set up the brand system, and no one has trained the team on how to prompt it effectively. The gap between the tool existing and the tool working inside your business is exactly where most AI adoption fails.
Sourcy works in that gap. We come to your office, set up the tools, configure them for your workflows, and train your team until they actually use them. If you want Claude Design running inside your business by next week, that is a realistic goal, but only if someone does the implementation work.
