Two Southwest Florida RFQs have December deadlines, and Pinellas County just put a five-year contract in the hands of five firms. Here is what is open and what closed this week, each linked to its notice.

The 7 Islands Community Development District (Lee County) is asking for qualifications for continuing District Engineer services: general engineering plus design and construction administration for its capital improvement plan. It may select one or more firms. Submit one hard copy and one electronic copy of the SF 330 and a Qualification Statement by 12:00 p.m. on December 1, 2026, to Special District Services in Palm Beach Gardens. The board meets December 10 at 1:00 p.m. in Cape Coral, and the notice says applicants shall attend. Read the notice on floridapublicnotices.com.
Open now: Sarasota Memorial, Wellen Park
The hospital district requested statements of qualifications for architectural and engineering services on an interior build-out of a two-story medical office building at 11255 Mezzo Drive, Venice. The first floor is about 19,000 square feet for a freestanding emergency department and outpatient rehab. The second floor is about 20,000 square feet for physician practices. Services run from programming through construction administration. Submittals are due by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2026, as five bound copies. The notice says fax and electronic submittals are not accepted. The selection committee meets December 16 and January 6. There is no pre-bid meeting. Read the notice on floridapublicnotices.com.
